Pay a visit to the fragrant fruit gardens and vineyards in neighbouring South Tyrol on a magnificent day trip via the Timmelsjoch road. If you still have some time to spare, your host Viktoria highly recommends a trip to see the sparkling genius of André Heller at the famous Swarovski Crystal Worlds museum.
Cosy Ötzi village in Umhausen
Awaken your spirit of adventure: even before the spectacular discovery of the shepherd and stone-age hunter “Ötzi”, it was clear that traces of prehistory could be found in and around Obergurgl. The Ötztaler Urweg tour, the archaeology loop to the Beilstein site and Ötzi village in Umhausen at the foot of the Stuiben waterfall all promise you a wonderful (Stone Age) time! Marvel at the ancient huts, hunting implements and tools and early Stone Age handicrafts. At the same time, you have the option to take a course at the survival school with all the family, which is sure to produce some unforgettable memories.
Holiday at the foot of a James Bond filming location
Hotel Viktoria sits only 850 metres from the Gaislachkogelbahn gondola, close to the first shooting location of the James Bond film Spectre. From here, you can take the modern Spectre gondola up to a newly opened and fascinating James Bond installation, all at a height of 3,048m.
Experience the spectacular subterranean film universe of the world’s most famous secret agent up close, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Zugspitze to the north and the Dolomites in the south. Dive into the world of Bond and explore the film set at first hand.
